I went to Queen’s BBQ in Galveston, Texas and was pleasantly surprised at how unbelievable the food is. I am from California where BBQ is normally reserved for the summer time or the 4th of July. I was willing to try Texas BBQ but was not expecting any real difference between the BBQ in Texas and the BBQ where I grew up. The ribs were larger and more flavorful than any food I have ever tried, and the portions were very generous that I could have a meal for days. I was not a believer in BBQ but now after eating at Queen’s BBQ I am converted to believe that Texas BBQ is better than any other BBQ I have ever tried. It is true what people say, that everything is bigger and better in Texas, including the BBQ.

Thoughts on a small campus
It is a common saying that bigger is always better. And as a Texan, I typically believe this. Yet, when it comes to a college, I have found in my own personal experience that a smaller campus was absolutely ideal. I felt as though the small class sizes and the close proximity of all campus buildings was beneficial to me.
